Get On Board

About

There are some simple steps to follow that will get you onboard and enjoying e-learning more quickly:

Step 1: Make sure you have your own email address
Step 2: Decide which course you want to study
Step 3: Complete registration form & purchase your course
Step 4: Ensure your computer has required plug-ins
Step 5: Start with the e-skills course

Step 1: Make sure you have your own email address
You will need an active email address in order to communicate directly with your e-tutor and fellow on-line e-learners. If you don’t already have an email address, you can easily set one up for FREE. This can be done FREE by registering with Hotmail, for example, or an Internet Service Provider (ISP) of your choice. Here’s how… To set up a Hotmail account go to www.hotmail.com and click on `New Account Sign Up` and then complete the registration form. Hotmail will then provide you with your email address at the end of the registration process. Please keep a note of this as you will need it for registering with getlearning.net. (Please note that getlearning.net has no association with Hotmail or any other provider. This information is provided solely as a suggestion to help you get an email account set up.)

Step 2: Decide which course you want to study
There are many courses to choose from on a wide range of subjects. To help you choose there are demos of some of the topics in the course selector section. There are different types of e-learning, some courses are self-taught, and others are supported by an e-tutor. You will find further details in the e-learning choices section.

Step 3: Complete registration form & purchase your course
First register with getlearning.net. This is where you will need your email address. Once you have registered for the first time, you will be sent your username and password which will enable you to access our virtual online environment called Learnwise, where your free e-skills will be sitting. You can also use your username password to purchase a course of your choice. Once you have decided which course to study simply use the shopping basket in the course selector section and follow the process as prompted.

Step 4: Ensure your computer has required plug-ins & software
It is a good idea to check that the computer you are using to access Learnwise from has the required plug-ins and software loaded in order to access on-line material from getlearning.net.

Step 5: Start with the e-skills course
getlearning.net has developed a unique e-skills course which introduces on-line learning, helps to make you familiar with the e-learning environment and enables you to get the most out of your e-learning experience. We highly recommend the e-skills course as the ideal starting point for your e-learning journey. It’s bundled FREE when you register. You can find more information on the e-skills page.

Good luck and enjoy your learning!
